Yard work

The deed is done...The photinias are all out...I am sure Kris will upload some pics later, before and after. The last one had quite a root on it. I had to find where the root forked so I could cut the smaller shoots as the clippers wouldn't fit around the whole root...Clark and I worked together on the first two but as yesterday was my day off I went out and got the last one out by myself...YES I got muddy but our front yard looks so huge now...That was the easy part now I get to till up the soil, rake it level, put down some weed fabric, put down some topsoil, and start planting...Not sure what we are gonna plant there yet. The neighbors must love the torn up look we got goin...LOL

Weekend work

I am sore...We got up Saturday morning and went rght to work. I started removing weeds while Kris was sanding front door. I edged the front lawn then mowed it. Then I moved all the large river rocks around the utility box we have out front and vacuumed the leaves around that...I was going to take the photinias out that day also but Clark from work came by and said hed help if he could have brainer... I also cant take the agapanthas out until I know I will be heading to Redding because I know mom would like those...I sifted out the dead from among the daises...LOL that doesnt sound right...sanding on that door took a couple days..We also started painting the entry closet door...Bye bye wood grain...well that was my weekend off...Oh and Sunday night we watched Facing the Giants...Excellent Christian movie.

General Info

The debate is on....Do we want solid surface counters in our kitchen..or the less expensive granite tile....Definitely leaning toward solid. Its funny...I didnt buy a house but a bundle of projects...Lets see so far ...carpets, flooring in boys rooms, new shower door, paint, removal of old wood stove, add a light to ceiling fan in the living room, removal of wood deck (good thing I have connections there), removal of old sheds, removal of old hedges out back around deck, removal of rose TREES, have i forgotten anything Kris? Whats next? Removal of photinias in front yard, removal of brick mow strip, fix sprinkler lines, build Evan a bed, clean up rock area near gingko tree, get BBQ ready for spring, put in low planter wall closer to house with shorter plants so we don't hide house, flagstone patio in backyard, some sort of porch in front yard, remove agapanthas (ugliest plants ever), remove Shasta daisies, Fix cracked sidewalk, fix fence, Tile kitchen and entry, kitchen counters, sound like fun? YES
